Tomato Salsa
A simple, lightly cooked tomato salsa with onion, garlic, and fresh coriander — fresh yet mellow, perfect as a topping or dipping sauce.

Ingredients
- 400 g (14.1 oz / about 1 2/3 cups) crushed tomatoes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 1 dl (⅖ cup / about 3 tbsp) chopped fresh coriander
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp herb salt
Instructions
- Add the chopped onion to a saucepan.
- Cook over low heat with the lid on until the onion is soft and translucent.
- Add the crushed tomatoes, garlic, coriander, honey, salt, and herb salt.
- Stir well and cook gently for about 3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly before serving.
Tips & Variations
- Serve warm or chilled, depending on use.
- Works well as a topping for patties, or grain dishes.
